Bryan Christian is Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Sales at Bats, a Cboe company. Based in New York, Mr. Christian oversees the team that services all U.S. equities customers.
During Mr. Christian’s tenure at Bats, the company has consistently been the second-largest U.S. stock exchange operator while options market share has tripled to more than 11 percent (as of May 2017).
Mr. Christian joined Bats in January 2014 when Bats acquired Direct Edge to become the second-largest U.S. equities exchange operator. Previously, he was Head of Sales for Direct Edge where he led the strategic development and implementation of innovative products and pricing, supporting trading on the firm's dual equity exchange platforms, EDGA and EDGX. He also spearheaded the adoption of the firm's expanding suite of connectivity and data services.
Previously, Mr. Christian served as Managing Director of Sales at Nasdaq and as global connectivity manager at Bloomberg Tradebook. He began his career in London as a Business Analyst at Merrill Lynch International before joining software development firm Felspar Limited.
He earned a B.S. in Business Administration at Marist College and holds a Series 24 license.
