Travel & Hotel Accommodations
The CBOE Risk Management Conference will be held at Penha Longa Resort, near Sintra Portugal (link to http://www.penhalonga.com/) . Once the retreat for the Portuguese Royal Family, Penha Longa is a short 25 minute drive from downtown Lisbon and is close to the popular beach-resort town of Cascais and the famous Estoril casino. Built around a 14th century monastery that is now a landmark, Penha Longa Resort is a breathtakingly beautiful location with a rich history.
About the Penha Longa Resort
Set along the gorgeous Estoril coastal region of Portugal, the Penha Longa Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort traces its origins back to the 14th century. The resort is located on a palazzo-style estate nestled among the spectacular rolling hills, lush gardens, and clear lakes of the southern Sintra mountains and has provided a quiet retreat for Portuguese royalty and foreign dignitaries.
Mild temperatures year round and an abundance of sunshine made this location a favorite retreat for royalty and foreign dignitaries. In late September temperatures typically are 24 degrees in the day and 18 at night. We are pleased to introduce you to this hidden gem and invite you to come early or stay a few extra days to explore the beautiful Estoril coastal region and historic Sintra. Rooms are not included in the registration fee for the conference and you must book your hotel room in advance. Reservations
For reservations, visit the Penha Longa website at: www.penhalonga.com and choose “BOOK ONLINE,” then click “OK.” To receive the special group rate, fill in the GROUP CODE field with CBOECBOA, then “Continue.” CBOE has negotiated a special group rate of 190 € per night single occupancy or 200 € per night double occupancy.
